Homemade Donut Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 80g sugar
  • 250ml warm milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 50g unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • Toppings: powdered sugar, chocolate glaze, sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and instant yeast.
  2. Gradually add warm milk while kneading the dough.
  3. Add egg yolks, continue kneading until smooth.
  4. Mix in butter and salt, knead until elastic and non-sticky.
  5. Cover and let rise for 45–60 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough, cut with a donut cutter.
  7. Let rest for another 20 minutes.
  8. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
  9. Drain, cool, and decorate with your favorite toppings.

Tips:

  • Use warm milk, not hot.
  • Don't overproof after shaping the donuts.
